Statement of purpose

Here at Upcountry Sovereignty we acknowledge the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ as Supreme Sovereign.  In His goodness, our Creator fashioned us in His Likeness.  We believe that because of that, we ultimately are sovereigns (with a small “s”).  Not to be mistaken with the many sovereignty movements throughout the world.  We are unique in that we consider all of the 13 confederate States to be under subjugation and occupation, and are Brothers to all organizations that share that world view.  We are secessionists and here’s an analogy as to why. 

{If you picture the Titanic, a wonderfully built ship with amazing possibilities, also imagine 50 life boats on the side of the Titanic.  We consider the united States of America to be like the Titanic, the States like the life boats.   Let us consider the time space between the time the Titanic hit the ice-burg and the sinking of her, to be in years instead of hours.  We believe the united States hit an ice-burg during the administration of Abraham Lincoln.  The united States federal union has been taking water on since that time.  The Constitution or (hull) for purposed of the analogy have been fractured, the framers of that hull did not intend it to be meddled with to the degree that it has been.   The hull has irreparable damage to it.  Of this fact there is little or no dispute.  We do not seek to be with other life boats that wish to go in a Godless direction of secular humanism.  Rather we wish to be left alone to sail the ocean of the human family as a member of that family but separate and distinct.  The life boat offers us the chance at survival.  Surely staying aboard the Titanic would indeed offer certain death!

So we believe in the ultimate right of the State to govern itself according to the wishes of the people, hence self government.  The particulars of our aspirations include matters such as Life (no abortion) family, taxation, a sound money system, an agrarian lifestyle, trade with all be allied with none foreign policy, weapon usage encouraged and even taught in our schools, home schooling as a preference, public education if a local town so desired to have it, no involvement with the powers of the world that seek to dominate one another, a national defense that secures our borders and meddles in no ones affairs, a defense that will retaliate with crushing blows to an invader, yet a posturing in the world stage as a benevolent kind Christian people seeking just to be left alone.  As government is at the consent of the governed, let it hereby be known that we the people of the Sovereign State of South Carolina withdraw our consent from Washington D.C. and recognize such as an imperial occupying government.  We seek to withdraw that consent by all legal and honorable means, and will with the Grace of God.
